Roquefort is in the heart of the French Pyrenees in a department called Ariège, 135km South-East of Toulouse, 170km from the Mediterranean coast and approximately 140km from Andorra.
Our nearest big town is St Giron and Foix, the department capital, is easily reached by bike.
The lodge is perfectly situated on the valley floor, making cycling back for dinner easy ! We lie between two villages, Biert and Massat
Village of Massat
Massat, which is 2km away, is the bigger and offers a Cave du Vin, tabac, mini-supermarket, pharmacy and 2 bars.
From Massat, you will find yourself on a col whichever road you take. We also have cols going out of Biert. The valley road takes you towards St Giron, but take a left turn 12km from Biert and you are in the next valley, which offers more beautiful cols and cycling terrain.
