Col d'Agnes

Col d'Agnes: Runs directly out of Massat 2km from the lodge

Since 1991 the Pyreneen Pursuits Cycle Lodge, Roquefort, based in a beautiful, peaceful valley in the Ariege, has been visited by numerous cyclists, both professional and amateur. Sal and Austin Roe now run Roquefort and our purpose is to provide our guests with everything they need to make their stay with us successfull. We can take many combinations of guests from singles, couples or groups of up to six people and we are open all year.

We have extensive knowledge of the area and cycling terain, provide comfortable, friendly lodgins along with great food in an area which is absolutely perfect for keen cyclists. The surrounding area offers numerous cols, some more challenging than others, with outstanding scenery on virtually traffic free roads.

The area is perfect both for clubs wanting to train for specific events and cyclists aiming for a more relaxing holiday.

For details of routes and cols visit our cycling pages or see what a recent visitor Steve Hill thought of the cycling.

Our aim is to continue where Nick and Jan Flannagan, who ran the lodge for 11 years and still live close by, left off. We have put our own mark on Roquefort by providing a comfortable lounge area, adding to the memorabilia, re-decorating all of the rooms and offering a mixture of both Nick's old and Sal's new recipes ! However, our primary goal is to maintain the hospitality and ambiance Roquefort has always offered. The house lends itself so well to having within it lots of people with a common interest.
